10 Easy Ways To Make Quick Money On Campus

One of the worst things to happen to you while in school is going broke and you can’t call home because the folks just sent you money not long ago. Chaley, it’s not even funny.

These are some tried and true ways of raising some quick money while on campus. The trick is to find an unmet need and harness it.

1. Do assignments/project works for others.

This is the ultimate source of income for students but you have to be a shark. There’s always some lazy students who would rather delegate all the work to others – that’s your gold mine. Go get em.

2. Sell stuff on campus

Some schools have strict policies against vending within their boundaries but there’s always the easy way out. Just don’t appear too suspicious. I know vendors who take advantage of the student population to disguise themselves and still ply their trade.

3. Run errands for others

Don’t just be walking up and down for people for free, monetize the craft. It’s the only thing you do best.

4. Join SRC/Departmental council meetings.

I got to know students get some allowances just for sitting in one of those meetings. You don’t have to utter a word, just observe and get paid later.

5. Seek part-time job around the school

Part-time jobs are very good especially when you have a flexible schedule. There’s no such thing as dirty jobs, even janitors get paid.

6. Be a teaching assistant or private tutor

Some lecturers pick their students [with good grades] as teaching assistants to help them when their not around. TAs get some regular stipends almost enough to see them through a month. Otherwise, a private tutor won’t be a bad idea. All you need to do is market yourself. Private tutoring is more lucrative in the period of freshmen.

7. For the artists: become a freelance graphic designer

“The word “graphic designer” might sound a bit scary and professional, but in reality, it’s an easy work-from-home job with flexible hours. As it turns out, there are a remarkable number of small startups and local businesses looking for someone with a good aesthetic sense to create logos, flyers, posters and other visuals for their brands.” – HerCampus.com

8. Design and sell merchandise

There are always hilarious catch-phrases on campus, you can make the most out of it by designing and selling stuff like T-shirts.

9. Find a roommate and split that rent

This is an indirect money making/saving technique. If you live in an apartment that takes the bulky part of your expenditure, just get someone to move in so you can split the rent.
