Meet the Future of Africa’s Art the Extraordinary Raji Bamidele (Radelart)

Sir Raji bamidele Abdulgaffar known as Radelart on social media platform . He is a student at the University of Lagos, presently studying actuarial science and insurance yet holds a great gift of ART. He hail from the centre north of Nigeria (Kogi state).

He is a silver member of the Africa’s young entrepreneurs (AYE) , an award winning artist at the 2015 Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF), the overall best in LAGOS ENTRY winning the CCA (CENTER OF CONTEMPORARY ART) AWARD PRICE. Hosted by bisi Silva.

He is a Mestro in Nigeria contemporary visual art specializing in charred coal art on canvas, and mix media creating a sort of connection and illusion between the human eyes every work of art created which he calls PUZZLE REALISM . This is a practice which test his level of patience and endurance, and it takes about 120hours on average to complete each piece. In every of his artwork, you would find the inspiration he derives from it in the shading of his work.. He has done artworks of notable Nigerians like Desmond Elliot, Alex Ekubo, Linda ikeji, the APC founder Sir Bola Ahmed Tinubu and alot in recent years.

 

He recently won the French Embassy Young Talents Award courtesy of the French Embassy which earned him a sole exhibition of his Artwork at the French Embassy in Abuja next year.

He also won the Best use of Multimedia at the Life In My City Art Festival (LIMCAF) which also earned him an all expense paid trip to Dakar Senegal for the 2018 edition of the International Art Festival.

He believes that art defines him because as a child, he has always been fascinated with creativity. He is a passionate, self-taught artist who pays attention to detail, expression, emotions and identity.
